Intro to Rocket

Prepare to fly & float through a Rocket practice!
This workshop will break down the Rocket practice – introducing those who are new or have never practiced Rocket before to the practice.
Rocket, created by Larry Schultz was built based upon the primary & intermediate Ashtanga system – it is designed to get you there faster, making ashtanga a little more accessible! In this workshop we will go through a creative Rocket sequence – expect arm balances, transitions, handstands & core! Ella will break down specific transitions and poses of the Rocket practice for you to test your edges and discover new ways of moving through your practice.
The workshop will be a fun, playful approach to what is an invigorating and energising practice.
Level: Open to all but not suitable for complete beginners

INVERSIONS WORKSHOP

The Inversions Workshop will introduce students to headstand, pincha (forearm stand) and handstand from a yoga based perspective. We will work through a series of drills and exercises that will offer you the correct technique and foundation to execute these poses with control and stability. We will look at many variations so you can get a taste of what might suit your body! The workshop will begin with a yoga based warm up. We will then work on and off the mat in solo and pairs to help you find ways of entering inversions safely and developing your practice. Prepare to fly, float and step out of your comfort zone as you start to nail those inversions and get upside down! This workshop is suitable for all levels - particularly those who are just beginning their inversion practice or are looking to take the next steps. The workshop is going to be fun and allow you to play with inversions in a way that is playful and lighthearted!

3 - 4.30pm - Deep stretch/conditioning
In this workshop Ella will guide you through a series of yoga based stretching/conditioning exercises specific for working into backbends, splits & hips.
The focus on finding flexibility in this workshop will be through safe and correct alignment and technique. We will use knowledge and technique for you to build a foundation to develop your flexibility.
We will work into variations of backbends and splits, looking at various ways you can explore these poses. There will be advanced variations for those ready to develop their practice further.
