RocketBeats is a strong, breath based dynamic yoga practice which is practiced to a playlist of epic beats. RocketBeats evolved from Rocket yoga, but also includes different styes of yoga and movement practices within it. RocketBeats has no set sequence but each practice focuses on a particular direction of travel - Up, Down, Forwards and Backwards (each of these focuses on a different area of engagement and intention in the body).
If you like working out but think yoga isn't hard enough or traditional yoga doesn't appeal to you- RocketBeats is for you! With an emphasis on a modern approach to yoga - you'll find yourself working up a sweat one side plank at a time!
This is a mixed level class with options both to make your practice harder or take things back a level and do the foundations - your practice, your choice!
RocketBeats was created by the teaching duo Imi Wiseman and Alan Ellman based in London.
Tuesday’s: 7-8.15pm and Sunday’s 9 - 10.15am -
Never practiced Yoga, let alone RocketBeats Yoga?
Want to give RocketBeats a try but nervous it might feel different to the usual style of yoga you practice? These pop up Introduction classes are going to be perfect for you.
We will work a little bit slower through the sequences to help you get used to the RocketBeats way. We will spend time breaking down some of the key poses, drills and movements you might find in a RocketBeats class.Ella will break down how you can modify/adapt certain poses if they feel too challenging or even how you can explore building more strength and mobility to access these.
After attending these classes you will feel confident enough to attend the mixed level RocketBeats sessions.
** These sessions are suitable for those who have either never practiced yoga or have experience in other styles but not RocketBeats, you might have practiced slower styles and want to ease gently into to a more dynamic practice (if you are a seasoned practitioner - come straight to a mixed level class!)
These are pop up classes that are added to the schedule throughout the year. -
